The Joy Campaign

For over a decade, the Lord has been profoundly faithful and kind to Emmaus Church. Countless lives have been impacted by the gospel being declared and displayed through the people of Emmaus. As we look back on all our God has done, we have so many reasons to rejoice—and we believe there is even more joy to come! God’s future grace awaits, and we are eager to step into the next season of ministry and mission.

To do so, we must recognize and address key challenges that affect the church’s capacity to sustain ministry and mission in the years ahead. One of the most pressing challenges is our lack of consistent, adequate space for ministry. While we are deeply grateful for the theater space we use on Sunday mornings, and the limited classroom and storage space available during the week, these are insufficient for our long-term needs. Currently, we must coordinate with alternative venues for nearly everything outside of Sunday worship—fellowship events, outreach initiatives, ministry meetings, Community Groups, equipping classes, and more.

The need is clear: Emmaus Church must secure a dedicated space. Access to a permanent facility would significantly expand our capacity for ministry and mission, while also establishing Emmaus as a lasting presence for God’s kingdom in Kansas City. A designated space would not only meet organizational and practical needs—it would also help us mature from a church plant into an established congregation, rooted in the Northland and ready to pursue kingdom advancement in fresh ways.
