We exist to declare and display the gospel so our kids will love Jesus and declare and display the gospel.
Emmaus KIDS is designed to declare and display the gospel, fostering a love for Jesus in every child. We emphasize hospitality by providing a safe, welcoming, and fun environment. Our gospel-centered teaching engages kids through creative storytelling and doctrinally sound lessons. Our mission extends to partnering with families in nurturing faith and sending children back into the community and church, equipping them to impact the world for Christ.
Emmaus KIDS meets during our regular Sunday morning service at 10:00am. K-5th grade classes are available every week.
Birth to Preschool
Our youngest Emmaus KIDS classrooms have their own secure space. Nursery, Toddler (including walking toddlers), Younger Pre-K (2-3 year olds), and Older Pre-K (4-5 year olds). Please note: only people with official check-in stickers are permitted to access the kids area.
Kindergarten to 5th Grade
Older kids will check in to receive their name tags and attend the first part of service with their family and friends. Dismissal to their classes will take place following musical worship where trusted adult leaders will assist in getting them to their classes.
What Happens in Emmaus KIDS?
- Classrooms will be supervised by two volunteers at all times.
- All adult Emmaus KIDS volunteers have cleared a background check and training.
- Children are offered a small snack. If your child has an allergy or medical condition, please notify the Kids Coordinator.
- From birth, our Emmaus KIDS and their families are prayed for each week by caring adults in their classrooms, and will be encouraged to play, sing, and hear stories about Jesus.
- Starting in Preschool, kids will watch a short Bible story video and will complete activity pages to take home.
- Emmaus KIDS uses LifeWay’s Gospel Project Curriculum for teaching. This three-year-long curriculum walks through the story of Scripture from Genesis to Revelation and helps kids connect every part of the Bible to Jesus and the gospel.
