Kansas City Northland
We often say that Emmaus is a church in the northland for the northland. This does not mean that we care less about the rest of our city. We are actively serving and have members scattered all over the Kansas City metro. But our corporate focus is that as God spreads our members throughout the northland, the gospel would reach every corner of our region. We currently have members who live in Parkville, Tiffany Springs, Gladstone, Maplewoods, Weatherby Lake, Briarcliff, Riverside, North Kansas City, Smithville, and many south of the river as well (Lee's Summit, Raytown, Downtown, Midtown, KCK, and Johnson County). Wherever you live is our mission field. Our people are called to live their lives in humble grace and service as they seek to declare and display the gospel in their neighborhoods, their schools, their workplaces, and their gathering spots. Refugees of Kansas City
Emmaus desires to be a people who deeply love and care for the refugee. It is our desire to offer practical and needed service along with the hope of the gospel to those who are hurting, relocated, and alone.
We have partnered with Crossworld and RefugeKC to offer a holistic service to refugee families that includes ESL, school tutoring, childcare, and friendships. If you are interested in volunteering to come alongside refugees with us, then please take a moment to read and fill out the form below.

Seattle, Washington
In January 2018 Emmaus sent Glen and Keri Higgins as church planters to Seattle. Glen spent 3 years in our pastoral residency.
How can you join what God is doing in Seattle?
- Pray for Glen, Keri, and their new church. Pray for gospel conversations to yield fruit and for lives to be changed by Jesus.
- Give to Glen and Keri above and beyond your normal giving to your local church. (for more information email joshua@emmauskc.com)
- Move to Seattle - perhaps you can do your job in Seattle! Pray about moving to Seattle and joining what God is doing.
- Go short term - Join us on a short term trip to encourage the Higgins and to join them in the gospel work of church planting.

Genova, Italy
The Genova metroplex is home to over 1.5 million people with less than 1% professing to follow Jesus. Through Acts29, Emmaus has partnered with INCONTRO CON GESÙ (Jesus Encounter), a church plant in Genova. Our partnership exists with the goal of seeing church planting churches started all across northern Italy.
How can you join what God is doing in Italy?
- Pray for Francesco and Claudia (church planters) and the gospel work in Genova. Pray for gospel conversations to yield fruit of salvation. Pray for those whom their church is serving through "Masters Hand" (a ministry to serve the hungry, homeless, and hurting of Genova).
