At Emmaus, we want to help you (the parent) show your children the beauty of the gospel throughout the week and then reinforce the beauty of the gospel when we gather with your kids at Emmaus. In order to do this, we not only want to offer great gathering opportunities for your children and students, but we also want to provide great resources and training for parents and families.
Every Sunday morning we offer safe and loving care for for all of our PreK kids during our worship gathering. Arrive 5-10 minutes early to check in your kids before joining us for worship. Our friendly greeters will help you know where to go and the kids staff will help you feel at ease leaving your kids with us. There is an electronic check in system to help your children be safe and secure and to give you an ease of mind as the parent. If you are a first time guest, we'll help you get entered into the system. If you are a returning parent, you may simply use our iPad check in stations to check in and then receive a name tag for your child and for you. You will need that name tag with you when you pick your child up. We will not release your child to anyone but you, with your name tag.
While you are in
our worship gathering, your children will engage with the love of Jesus
through games, videos, teaching, and projects. Following the service you
can go to the kids area to pick up your child.
On Sunday mornings our K-2nd graders join us in our worship gathering while we worship through song. They will get to sing our songs with us, witnessing our worship of Jesus, and then will be dismissed before the message. Our incredible kids staff will spend the next hour helping your children to see how much Jesus loves them before returning them to the service following the sermon. Each week your child will come home with printouts designed to help you engage in scripture memory, gospel-conversations, and prayer as a family!
In addition to our Sunday morning gatherings, we offer wonderful opportunities for our kids to connect, learn, and serve together throughout the year. Thank you for growing with us, as we further develop our Emmaus Kids.
3rd - 5th Grade
Every 1st and 3rd Sunday (during the school year) our 3rd - 5th graders will be dismissed after the music portion of our service to gather with each other for an age-specific time of teaching! They will engage in group projects that help them study the Bible and will engage in great teaching geared towards their age!
2017/2018 theme is: The King. Our kids will take a journey from creation to the church, looking at 15 major stories in scripture which pointed to King Jesus.
Emmaus practices a "family equipping" philosophy of ministry. This means that it is our desire to equip parents to disciple their children and then to come along side them and help them in that discipleship process.
One way in which we are able to equip parents to disciple their children is through resources such as family worship guides or catechisms. A catechism is simply a series of questions and answers designed to help teach our children about God. We pray that this resource is a blessing to you as you seek to help your children know and love Jesus.
